Traveling Vegetarian: Carlyle Grill

The Carlyle Grill in Ann Arbor has been my favorite restaurant since it opened, back when I was in high school. I’ve tried the majority of their menu, and what I haven’t tried members of my family have. For being my favorite, I don’t get to eat there much anymore. This was actually my first time back since becoming a vegetarian and boy was I happy!

I can’t believe I was worried. I honestly should have known better, but the Whitefish (which is no longer on the menu) was my favorite dish for years and for some reason it didn’t register with me that being a vegetarian wouldn’t disappoint in regards to the menu. My family and I went with burgers all around, my Dad had a normal cheeseburger, my Mom had the traditional veggie burger and I chose the London Burger but subbed in the veggie patty.

Just look at those layers!

They make their veggie patties by hand, and boy you can tell because it is far superior than anything else around here. Because I chose the London Burger mine also came with blue cheese and fried onions on top! Yum! I loved this burger so much that if you’re following my Insta-Stories you know that I’ve been back and gotten it to go. Carlyle still holds the title of my favorite restaurant in the Ann Arbor area.

Have a great weekend everyone!
