When I heard that Main Street Dresser was having a trunk show, I knew I just had to check it out. Lucky for me the hours were perfect for after work and I was able to reapply my lipstick and pop on over. It was such a pleasure finally meeting Andrea, and I just loved the pieces that she brought with her.
Do you ever walk into a store and think, “I’m home”? That’s exactly how I felt when I walked into Le Bon Macaron. As someone who is preparing for her own place, walking into this sweet shop was like walking into a dream kitchen for me. My Mom even turned to me and said, “This place is so YOU!” I had followed Le Bon Macaron on social media for a while now, and was so excited for them to open this location. It only took my like 8 months to go check it out because of my busy schedule which I’m so glad I finally went.
I’ve always been told that I would have loved the ‘50’s and I think that they’re totally right! The dresses were absolutely lovely back then and the part I love the most is that it was the standard in fashion to dress nice. The standards have fallen so drastically in my lifetime, I won’t even comment on the jeans down to the knees look. But I can’t wear a dress a single day without being asked where I’m going “so dressed up”. Y’all this just irks me, as it’s just my daily wardrobe. I have no issues by staying true to myself no matter what decade I live in. Alright, mini rant over let’s get back to this adorable dress!
We’re taking it back to my quick trip to Florida this past May with this one. What’s a hungry girl, wandering around her new piece of property supposed to do for food around Port Charlotte?! Cross the bridge and head to Punta Gorda for lunch of course!
Y’all I have been so excited for this post, I couldn’t wait to share this with you. I have recently collaborated with Grace Layne and am not only sharing this amazing top with you but I’m also sharing a promo code just for you!
To cap off Shark Week I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite Mermaid worthy accessories that I have been sporting this Summer. I know y’all don’t get to see my daily outfits, working on that; so here is a peak at what I use on a regular basis this season.
I have created a bit of a weekly habit this Summer, my Mom, Mamaw and I have been hanging out at my Mamaw’s pool on Sunday mornings. It’s been so blissful and for some reason we’ve had the pool to ourselves (she lives in a condo complex) which has been perfect for us to relax, float around and catch each other up on our weeks. Mermaid Sundays have become my favorite part of the week and I thought it would be fun to share what’s in my pool bag with you.
